I believe it was written at a future house party. Dave Vangerov, then radiotv (we all called him radiotwid, he was YOUNG then, and he wasn't very happy about it - still isn't), may well have been at that party. You could also check with brianm@sco.com since he was likely around then as well, or steph@sco.com or allied@sco.com. Jeesh, this brings me back a loooong way. -Louis > From louisi Fri Jul 8 18:54:58 1994 > Date: Fri, 8 Jul 94 18:52:12 PDT > From: falcon@klinzhai.echo.com (frederick smythe, esquire) > Message-Id: <9407090152.AA24803@klinzhai.echo.com> > To: omni@circus.com > Subject: Re: day that unix died > Cc: keithr@sco.com, louisi@sco.com > > nope. i bet louis knows, though. > or keith. i'll cc them. > > re: > > From omni@circus.com Fri Jul 8 15:57:00 1994 > Return-Path: > Received: from circus.com (samsara.circus.com) by klinzhai.echo.com (4.1/SMI-4.1.1) > id AA24277; Fri, 8 Jul 94 15:56:57 PDT > Received: by circus.com (NX5.67e/NX3.0M) > id AA09648; Fri, 8 Jul 94 15:53:59 -0700 > Date: Fri, 8 Jul 94 15:53:59 -0700 > From: Anything for a weird life > Message-Id: <9407082253.AA09648@circus.com> > To: falcon@circus.com > Subject: day that unix died > Status: R > > > and do you know who orignally wrote it? > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Member, Technical Staff Distributed Objects And Systems Management Engineering SCO Product Development Chair, IEEE POSIX 1387.3: System Management: User/Group Account Management
