urtles are grounded to water and the earth, are tied to the moon (especially the solstice), and represent the natural rhythms of the planet. They symbolize fertility, wisdom, patience, strength, fortitude, and silent knowledge.

Seen as a medicine for fertility in many cultures, turtles were associated with the power to heal female diseases. From the origins of the I Ching to creation myths around the globe, turtles plays a key role.

Moreover, the turtle is the *only* opponent of Bugs Bunny to claim victory. Daffy Duck, Marvin the Martian, Elmer Fudd, Yosemite Sam, etc., battled Bugs time and time again, but always fell short. A turtle on the other hand (namely Cecil Turtle) beat Bugs in three separate tortoise-and-hare races.

Before I knew any of this, however, for as long as I remember, I've felt a kinship toward turtles. My inner soul is definitely turtle-esque. The more I learn about turtles, the more it makes sense to me that I am a turtle. This is why my first account name was turtle, and this is why my domain is and will always be kingturtle.
